Designed for your convenience, our seven-seater electric cart ‘Quokka Hopper’ is a private transfer service connecting guests to 12 different stops on the island including accommodation, restaurants and island facilities.
One-Way Transfer
Get picked up and dropped off anywhere permitted by the Rottnest Island Authority (RIA) in the island’s main settlement, including in front of your accommodation.
Operating Timetable
This service operates between 6:30pm - 9:30pm (Monday - Thursday) and 7:30pm - 9:30pm (Friday - Sunday). No service on Christmas Day.

Capacity
The Quokka Hopper holds 7 passengers or 5 passengers with luggage.
Accessibility
The Quokka Hopper is not wheelchair accessible (unless foldable then reducing capacity to 5 passengers plus foldable wheelchair).
Payment Method
Credit card payment only, no split billing. Payment at the time of booking or upon arrival if flagged down.

Delays may occur if the Quokka Hopper has already been requested.
Please allow for travel time to get to your stop location.
The Quokka Hopper does not operate on Christmas Day.

Important Notes
Due to restrictions on electric carts, the Quokka Hopper can only operate east of the Wadjemup Lighthouse. It is not able to access locations such as the West End or Strickland Bay.
Terms & Conditions
The Quokka Hopper can stop for pick-up and drop-off anywhere with designated authorisation of the Rottnest Island Authority (RIA), however it is not permitted to access the main ferry jetty except with written permission by the RIA for exceptional circumstances relating to restricted mobility persons (e.g. walking frames, collapsible wheelchair).
